Winter Favourites

As its winter I thought it would be nice to share with you the favourites I have for the season.

Nail varnishes, for me the colours change throughout the year and I preferably prefer darker colours in the winter and lighter colours for summer. I have 4 nail varnishes which are my favourites this winter. First off, on the far left is my Matte Black Topshop nail varnish, at the moment I am loving this because it is quick drying and gives off a different effect than shiny nail varnishes, I personally think this reflects winter more than an average high gloss black. Next to that is a Barry M nail varnish in the shade Berry cosmo, I love this colour and was recently given it by a friend for my birthday, normally I like to wear two different nail varnishes at once and this colour goes perfectly with Barry M Mushroom (pictured next to it) I find these two colours are superb for winter. Finally, on the end is my Collection Long Lasting Gel Colour In the shade Red Hot 4, Collection nail varnishes are a must have! Their brushes are now wide making it easier to cover nails and it dries almost instantly making them ideal for on the go coverage.

After my holidays in the summer my hair was in a terrible state from the sun and I never used to use conditioner on a regular basis. I decided to go to the hair dressers and have the dead ends of my hair cut off leaving it feeling full of life again. Now I realise if I want my hair to get longer I need to take better care of it, meaning I need to regularly condition, use heat protector, try to prevent straightening it and so on. I went shopping in aid to find something which could keep my hair feeling as healthy as it did when I came out of the hairdressers and I came across this. Its the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner for damaged hair, i've been using this about 3 times a week for the past 2 months and I have found its worked wonders on my hair, my hair is now growing rapidly and I feels soft and silky whenever I wash it. Perfect for anyone who has damaged hair!

New Look suede brown mittens. I've had my eye on these for about a month now and yesterday my mum bought me them as a Congratulations present for passing my driving theory (go me!) I've only had them a day and I fell in love with them instantly, they're so warm and look absolutely adorable. I'm a person who gets incredibly cold hands and then moans about it till they're warm, so having these is a god sent for not just me, but everyone around me when my hands are cold, and for £7.99 I thought it was a bargain.

One day on a stroll through Christchurch high street I decided to stop in this little boutique style shop with my friend, after looking around I found this coat, tried it on, fell in love with it and then looked at the price tag, seeing £160 put me right off. However, my birthday came around not long after, and guess what I got, the coat. Its a Jack Murphy barbour type jacket, it has a wax layer meaning its water proof and the inside is just so cosy meaning it keeps me warm and protected no matter what the weather! Also pictured is my favourite scarf! Before going to London I decided I wanted a new scarf as I seem to wear one everyday, so we went into Urban Outfitters and I found this! I instantly fell in love with it and I now wear it all the time, it was £16 which seems reasonable compared to prices in Topshop, Zara etc.

Lastly is my Zara Black Perfume. I actually bought this on my holiday to Florida, I wanted a new perfume but didnt want to spend ridiculous amounts on one, so when I ventured into Zara and realised how cheap their scents were I just had to buy one. This is the larger bottle of 50ml and I think it was around about $10 making it quite cheap when converted. I used this quite alot on my holiday and when I returned to the UK I completely forgot about it. Now however I use it all the time and its one of those things that reminds you of memories. It has a floral scent to it and is perfect for everyday or special occasions.

They're my favourites of the Winter, what's yours?

I miss Summer 2013

Im sat here with freezing cold feet watching the rain trickle down the window, and although I love Christmas time I do prefer the summer. This year I was lucky enough to go on two holidays! For my first holiday I went to Moraira, Spain with my friend Hannah and her family, we basically spent 2 weeks on the beach and round the pool, we had so many funny memories and experiences and right now i'd love to go back and do it all over again! 2 weeks after arriving back I went on my annual family holiday to Florida, for once we didnt do the whole 'Disney experience' and instead we shopped, chilled and explored. The weather wasnt too great which was a surprise seeing as Florida is normally blue skies, however I did have a great time and I cant wait to go back next year.

Basically, I just miss the sun:( heres a few snaps of the Holidays..

London Christmas shopping trip!

On Friday the 6th of December my college did a London shopping trip for a mere £10! Haydn, Spencer and myself took up the opportunity and booked ourselves tickets. The coach took around 2 and a half hours and as we arrived in London we drove past Big Ben and the London eye. As London is a big place its no surprise we got lost, we spent 45 minutes just trying to find Oxford street and when we eventually did we were thrilled. I must say London at Christmas time is so pretty. We spent 6 hours shopping with a few food breaks in-between and overall had a great time! As I was shopping with boys their attention spans on opinion giving were limited and I actually ended up taking majority of my buys back, however I did exchange them for new items and i'm now happy. A very good and tiring day.

Christmas shopping- done.
